Seiko's warranty is an expression of our commitment, and this page provides an overview of the key warranty terms.
The Three-Year Worldwide Warranty
For watches purchased on or after October 1, 2024, Seiko provides a three-year limited warranty from the date of purchase.
* The three-year warranty is also applied to purchases made between July 1 and September 30, 2024.
During the warranty period, if a material or manufacturing defect is found under normal use, we will adjust, repair, or replace the necessary parts at no charge.
To obtain warranty service, please present your watch together with a valid warranty card to the authorized Seiko retailer where the watch was purchased or any member of the Seiko International Service Network.
* Warranty service is provided exclusively at the authorized Seiko Service Centers listed in the Seiko International Service Network.
Warranty Card and Booklet
Every Seiko watch comes with an official warranty card and warranty booklet.
Please ensure that your warranty card is valid only if properly completed and dated by an authorized Seiko retailer at the time of purchase.
A valid warranty card is required to receive warranty service.
Please note that warranty cards cannot be reissued.
If your warranty card is lost or misplaced, warranty service may still be available by providing other reasonable proof of purchase, such as a receipt or invoice showing that the watch was purchased from an authorized Seiko retailer.
Warranty Coverage
This warranty covers the watch case, movement, dial and hands, and any metal bracelet.
Warranty Exclusions
This warranty does not cover certain situations. Please refer to the exclusions below for details.
- Warranty cards that have been altered or tampered with, are presented as photocopies, or are not properly completed (e.g., a missing retailer stamp or purchase date)
- Damage resulting from use not in accordance with the instruction manual
- Damage caused by accidents, lack of care, neglect, misuse, or attempted repairs
- Watches that have been damaged or tampered with by any party other than authorized Seiko Service Centers
- Damage caused by fire, flood, earthquake, or other natural disasters
- Normal wear and tear, including scratches from regular use
- Periodic maintenance services, such as overhauls, even if no defect is present
- Glass, non-metal bracelets, and watch accessories, including pouches and belts attached to the watch
- Battery replacement for quartz watches, even within the warranty period
The battery installed in the watch at the time of purchase is a factory-installed monitoring battery used for performance checks, and may require replacement earlier than the specified battery life. - Water damage to watches not marked as water-resistant on the case back
- For GPS watches, changes to time zone information occurring after the watch specifications have been finalized
