PROFILE
YANG, Yung-Wei is the first Olympic medalist in Taiwan Judo history and set a milestone in his career with his first debut in the Summer Olympics Games.
YAMG started his judo journey in the 3rd grade of elementary school and won the National Championship the year after. Then he also won various titles in Taiwan. Not until Tokyo 2020, he made his name with the Olympic Silver Medalist and became a well-known Sports Star in Taiwan and Judo family. Although he made an extraordinary debut in his first Olympics, he's still pursuing the gold medal in the Olympics the goal he set and wrote when he was 12.
He has self-requirement ability and he dedicates his life to Judo as a Judoka. He wants to be a pioneer, a promoter, and a practitioner of Taiwan Judo. That's also why he choose the idiom "The one who wants to wear a crown must bear the weight." as his motto. He will never give up and accept any challenges.
