The power design project Explores New Possibilities in Watch Design Through Passion and Obsession for Watchmaking

Seiko Watch Corporation will host the exhibition “power design project presents: Passionately and Obsessively Crafted Watches” at Lightbox Studio in Minami Aoyama, Minato ward, Tokyo, from March 14 to 29, 2026.

The “power design project” is an internal initiative that empowers the company’s designers to explore new approaches and possibilities in watch design, free from conventional constraints and preconceptions.

This marks the fourth edition since the project’s revival in 2022. For this installment, the designers explore new expressions shaped by their devoted attention to detail and their obsessive passion for watchmaking.

As specialists deeply committed to the craft, they have brought their full expertise to this challenge. By isolating and closely examining the elements unique to watches, they have uncovered new dimensions of appeal. The result is seven timepieces, each distinguished by a bold and unprecedented sense of individuality.
