SKX series
Behind the Design
Born from the design heritage of ddivers’ watches,
the SKX series evolves that legacy into a timepiece shaped by the city.

What is the SKX series?
The SKX series was created with the concept of making mechanical watches easy to use and easy to choose. Valued for its versatility and ease of wear both on and off duty, it has long been embraced by surfers and outdoor enthusiasts alike. Inheriting this lineage, the SRPL83 builds on a divers’-inspired look while pursuing specifications and a design better suited to everyday city wear.

Sporty in form, refined in color.
The bezel features a glossy Hardlex glass insert, while the bracelet has been updated with a newly designed rounded profile. Drawing on the SKX archive, the radial-pattern dial and metallic indices enhance its sense of quality, while the hands are refined with a more modern expression. The striking blue dial adds a fresh accent to everyday styling.

The iconic crown at 4 o’clock
adds a distinctive design accent.Derived from Seiko’s divers’ watches, the crown is positioned at 4 o’clock—a detail designed to prevent interference with the wrist and ensure comfortable wear, even in active situations.

Evolving from a divers’ watch into a more refined expression.
The SKX series models are rooted in diver’s watch design while embracing a freer aproach to their overall aesthetic. As a result, the hour markers have been upgraded to a more refined specification. The dial features three-dimensional applied hour markers and a radial brushed finish that creates a subtle, gradient-like expression. Ample LumiBrite ensures clear visibility even in low-light conditions.
ARCHIVE

SKX007 — the inspiration behind today's model.

SRPL83 — the contemporary expression of the SKX series.
A design carried forward from the archive to the present.
The cross line connecting the 3, 6, 9, and 12 o’clock positions is a key element in enhancing legibility.
In the original SKX archive models that form the design’s foundation, pill-shaped indexes were used alongside the round dot indexes commonly found on divers’ watches, ensuring visibility even in low-light conditions. Short lines extending toward the dial’s center were added to emphasize the crosshair effect.
In contrast, the SRPL83 replaces the dots with rectangular hour markers. The cross line is reinterpreted with a centered line within the trapezoidal index at 12 o’clock, extended rectangular markers at 6 and 9 o’clock, and a carefully balanced layout—resulting in a more modern expression.
