How to use the simple compass (For models with rotating bezel having direction indicator)

By using the rotating bezel with a direction indicator and the 24-hour hand, the direction can be found.

The compass is usable only within the northern hemisphere, and it may not function properly in lower latitudes (South of the Tropic of Cancer) depending on the season of the year.

The compass is so designed to provide only a rough indication of directions, and should not be used where accuracy is critical.

How to find a direction by using the 24-hour hand

When the 24-hour hand is set to indicate the current time, the direction can be found be using 24-hour hand.

  1. Make sure that the 24-hour hand is indicating the current time of your current location.

  2. Set the Bezel-3 (North) of rotating bezel to 12 o’clock position.

    Set Bezel-3 to 12 o’clock position

  4. Keep the watch horizontal and point the 24-hour hand towards the direction of the sun.

  5. The direction indicators on the rotating bezel indicates the direction of the point.
