Decathlete Niklas Kaul is one of the most successful track and field athletes in Germany.

Born in 1998, he became the youngest world champion in the history of the decathlon at the 2019 World Athletics Championships in Doha. But winning the title at the 2022 European Championships in his home country was an even more emotional experience. The atmosphere during the competition in Munich still gives Kaul goosebumps to this day.

Athletics have been an integral part of Kaul’s life since childhood, and he has focused on the decathlon since an early age. He has already won several gold medals at the Junior World and European Championships and set world records in the U18 and U20 decathlon.

The challenge and variety of the decathlon drive Niklas Kaul. Since the beginning of his career, javelin has been his favorite discipline, and he is constantly working to improve his technique and performance in the various other disciplines.
