An Urushi dial created by applying multiple layers of lacquer made from the sap of the Urushi tree.
It features a glossy deep black color, which is the origin of the word “shikkoku” (Urushi black).

Shippo Enamel Dial

Shippo enamel is a porcelain that is said to be as beautiful as the seven treasures. Gradations with unique depth and richness are produced through repeated applications of glaze and firing, and the sheen and shine are created by polishing after firing.
