Rotor in Titanium and Tungsten.
We have another remarkable introduction in Grand Seiko for 2012. It is a limited edition with GMT.
You will see the beautiful circumference rotor in blue anodized titanium and tungsten through the sapphire caseback. This is not paint or dye. Only certain metals such as titanium or zirconium can be treated this way. The anodized layer intensifies only certain light wavelengths and our brains recognize the color corresponding to the light. It looks great, but it has also a practical advantage. It has a higher resistance to shock.
The dial color is the famous Grand Seiko blue.
One modern version with metal bracelet and more classical strap versions will be launched. Metal version is limited to 700 pieces and Strap 1000 worldwide..
