FC Barcelona is, once again, the best club football team in the world.
FC Barcelona is, once again, the best club team in the world. On December 18 in Yokohama, Japan, they won the FIFA Club World Cup for the second time in three years, defeating South America’s best team by the convincing margin of 4-0. Santos FC of Brazil was generous in defeat with their star player, Neymar, speaking perhaps for the whole football world when he said “They were far, far the better team and we learned how to play football today”.
During the team’s 9-day stay in Japan, the President of the FC Barcelona visited the new Seiko Salon at the Wako store in Ginza, Tokyo to meet the President of Seiko Watch Corporation, Shinji Hattori. Sandro Rosell, the FCB President, saw the Sportura FC Barcelona chronograph proudly displayed in the Seiko Salon and presented Mr. Hattori with a FCB shirt in recognition of the strength of partnership between Seiko and FCB.
FCB generously helped to create a special clock, which was displayed at Seiko Museum Ginza exhibition. Eleven of the players provided their signatures beside their respective number on the dial of the clock.
